1. What was life like before coming to Christ? What about before going to Bible College? (The more specific, the better!)

I have been at The Rock for 18+ years, I was raised in a Christian family/household as well as attended a Christian school my whole life. Growing up I really enjoyed going to church, spending time with my family, serving and loving people, but little did I know my world was about to change. The summer before I entered my sophomore year of high school (June 2012) my grandpa was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. When I found out he had been diagnosed I knew things would never be the same, my grandpa was my best friend, he was my comfort, he instilled morals and values in me that I will never forget and most importantly he modeled for me what it was like to love God and love people. We lost my grandpa in December of 2012 and that's when things began to change in me and my heart began to harden. I was still going to church but it was no longer because I wanted to as much as It was because I had to, I was physically there sitting in a seat but I began to tune the services out. I noticed a significant change in my speech, thoughts and actions and I began to shut out my emotions and pull away from my family. I was still going to church and involved in ministry but I was living a Luke warm lifestyle. I still considered myself a Christian and I loved God but it was a constant battle between my flesh and what I knew was right. It wasn't until senior year that God got a hold of me and I repented for what I had done and I got back on track. Once I decided to live wholeheartedly for God and embrace the plans he had for my life I found the strength, joy and love that I needed to heal properly and step into what He was calling me to do.

2. When did you realize God was calling you to be in Bible College? (Was there a moment in church, at home, while you were reading the Word?) Please describe this moment in detail.

As my high school experience was coming to a close it seemed like everyone had their next season of life planned out. They knew exactly what they wanted to do and they were excited about pursuing it. I on the other hand had no idea what I wanted to study or where I wanted to go to college, because of my upbringing I knew God had a specific plan and a call on my life just like he does for each and every one of us I just didn't know what it was yet, that's when I started seeing ads for TRBC and God instantly put it on my heart, I prayed about it and I knew that TRBC was what God was going to use to equip me to live out and fulfill the call He had for my life.

3. What moment in Bible College was the most impactful and life-changing? (How has TRBC propelled you into the future you’re living right now?)

There have been so many moments of impact for me during my time at TRBC but what never ceases to amaze me is that each class and quarter is so timely, God knows exactly what we need exactly when we need it and I have experienced this first hand. Each and every class has taught me values and truths that continue to stretch and equip me to be the woman God has called me to be.

4. What part of your story would be most encouraging for the person reading your story who feels stuck, lost and hopeless?

No matter what you're going through or what your current circumstances look like God is faithful and He has a plan for your life. If you draw near to God He will draw near to you and you will get the clarity and direction you need for your life. When all hope seems lost or you feel stuck you can cling to the promises of God, he has a plan and a purpose for you, and He is always with you, even when you don't "feel" Him.

5. What would you say to someone who wants to go, but isn't sure if it’s for them because of their circumstances, challenges, past history? (And they have the same circumstances, challenges, past that you did prior to going to Bible College.)

Push past the what ifs and go for it! If God is putting something on your heart or is asking you to do something for Him He will give you the grace and the provision to do it! Don't let the devil talk you out of or discourage you from what God is prompting you to do. TRBC will help you grow in your walk with God and will equip you for living a life worthy of your calling!
