1. What was life like before coming to Christ? What about before going to Bible College? (The more specific, the better!)

Before I came to know the Lord Jesus, my life was pretty much empty. I found myself in a labyrinth, I was looking for something but I did not know what. I used to go to card readers and smoke tobacco so they could tell me about my future. I was a mess. Before I came to know about the bible college, Christ had already found me, my life was taking shape and the Lord had already started in me a process of healing and restoration.

I started to attend a bible study and I remember listening to some sisters who were sharing about Bible College. I remember asking them questions about it and feeling in my heart this longing to attend the college, but I thought, that was not for me.

2. When did you realize God was calling you to be in Bible College? (Was there a moment in church, at home, while you were reading the Word?) Please describe this moment in detail.

In September 2011, the Lord spoke to me clearly and He gave me directions to register for Bible College, but I told him that it was too late because the Bible College already started. The Lord did not say anything else after this. On the following Sunday, I talked to pastor Paul Ogando about my desires and he granted me permission to start right away. In my new season, I was so excited, I had expectations to see how God would move in my life, yet I did not know that soon enough I would face my enemy face to face. The enemy tried to show me that my life was nothing but a piece of trash and came in full force to destroy my marriage, my life, my hope and my faith. The emotions of fear, emptiness, and treason came over me in full force.

3. What moment in Bible College was the most impactful and life-changing? (How has TRBC propelled you into the future you’re living right now?)

The Lord used the Bible College to water the seed He already had put in me. He reminded me of who I am in his eyes, that I was called to raise up and fight the fight of faith, that I was called to teach and to leave a legacy for my future generations. God knew far before I did, that classes like Living in Faith, Jesus My Healer, The Power of Prayer, Foundations of Faith, Worship, and Praise, would be used to water my broken heart.

This is one of the verses I have... Habakkuk 3:17-18. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop produces no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the lord. I will be joyful in God my savior.

This verse is for all of you who feel stuck in life, who struggle with emptiness or are facing betrayal in your life, or who are facing the lies of the enemy. God has raised me up from the ashes and he asked me for everything I had a moment when I felt I had nothing to offer Him. I had something I did not know I had, I had the heart of a fighter and the heart of a worshipper. The Lord will, by His hand, keep me and raise me up to destroy the enemies deeds in my marriage. He gave the water not only to satisfy my thirsty but to fulfill His plans in me.

4. What part of your story would be most encouraging for the person reading your story who feels stuck, lost and hopeless?

You, like me today, have a great opportunity to let God invest in your spiritual life in a way that you cannot imagine. You must know this, God is calling His church to raise up and be prepared for what is ahead. We are His mighty warriors that He needs to raise up for our generations. We will be the people who leave a legacy for our children. Be diligent and know the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates deep, dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

5. What would you say to someone who wants to go, but isn't sure if it's for them because of their circumstances, challenges, past history? (And they have the same circumstances, challenges, past that you did prior to going to Bible College.)

My marriage was restored only because He is God and because I walked in obedience. Praise be to Him always.
