Richard is a San Bernardino native, born and raised. The father of three growing kids and husband to Michelle since 2002. He has been a part of The Rock Church since 1996 and involved in Youth Ministry since 2000, helping to found The Rock's Internship Program. He stepped into his role as Youth Pastor in 2004. He received a calling into ministry in high school and has centered his life around learning the word, sharing God's good news, and just having a strong desire to tell someone about Jesus.
Richard graduated from The Rock Bible College in 2002. He received his BMin from the Faculty of Theology (FTI), Montebello, earning a top thesis award for his work on a parent's role in family discipleship. He is set to complete his master's degree in 2021, earning his MTS in Theological Studies with an emphasis on Old Testament/Hebrew Bible from Regent University. He has taught at The Rock Bible College for over 15 years, as well as had the opportunity to share on Parental Roles in Raising Teens and Adolescent Development at national conferences and ministries.
