Pastor Richard Villanueva

Richard is a San Bernardino native, born and raised. The father of three growing kids and husband to Michelle since 2002. He gave his heart to the Lord at the Rock Church in San Bernardino, CA, in 1996. He joined the Youth Ministry team in 2000, helping to found an Internship Program that has graduated hundreds of young adults into professional and ministerial vocations. He stepped into his role as Youth Pastor from 2004 to 2021, growing the ministry to see over 800 students attend weekly in services, leadership development programs, and various active ministry roles. He is currently the Executive Pastor at C3 Church in Palm Springs, CA, teaches Old Testament at a local Christian school, and teaches numerous courses of undergrad theology. He received a calling into ministry in high school and has centered his life around learning the word, sharing God's good news, and just having a strong desire to tell someone about Jesus.


Richard graduated from The Rock Bible College in San Bernardino, CA in 2002. He later received his BMin from the Faculty of Theology (FTI), Montebello, earning a top thesis award for his work on a parent's role in family discipleship. Richard earned his MTS in Theological Studies with an emphasis on Old Testament/Hebrew Bible from Regent University, Virginia Beach. He has taught at The Rock Bible College for over 15 years, and has taught on Ministry Leadership, Parental Roles in Raising Teens, and Adolescent Development at national conferences and ministries. He currently teaches at Redlands Christian Schools and leads the Middle School Bible Department, overseeing the Bible faculty and curriculum.
